Super Sunday |
|
A picture larger than the size of the wall showed just how big David’s opposition was. Goliath was estimated to be 9 feet tall and wore bronze armour over most of his body, carrying a massive sword, having another soldier carry his shield. |
|
This Super Sunday was about David and Goliath, recognizing that God can work through even the most unlikely of people to accomplish great things |
Here are some pictures from our 2nd Super Sunday |
|
We are all like a stone. Kind of rough, sometimes bumpy, sometimes with pitts and holes and not always that nice to look at. Most people don't look beyond the surface ~ but God does. He knows our heart and He knows what is inside each of us. When we let Him work on chipping away the rough stuff he see's the treasure buried inside. If we let God continue to work in our lives he will take that treasure and polish, shine and make it into something beautiful. It's up to us to |

let God into our hearts and begin the work so that we can shine for Him. God knew David's heart and because He knew what was on the inside, David could defeat the giant Goliath |

RECIPE FOR TREASURE STONES
1 Cup flour 1 Cup used coffee grinds 1/2 Cup salt 1/2 Cup sand 1 Cup water
- Mix all dry ingredients together. Slowly add the water to make a stiff dough. You might end up using only 1/2 the water - add it slowly or the dough will be too runny. - Knead on a flour surface until fairly smooth. - Break dough into desired rock sizes. -Hide toys or other surprises in the center of a ball of dough. -Set in a safe place to dry out totally, at least 3-4 days (suggestion, the drying time should be more like 8 - 9 days to get the best effect) -Once dry, the dough will look and feel like a rock -You can carefully break open with a hammer to find the hidden treasure! |
